LAMDA Lessons

Suitable for 9 - 18 year olds

Long Lane Theatre Company provides LAMDA courses in Putney High School, Putney Junior School, and Vyners School - we also have a number of students who take lessons with us privately.

We currently teach courses in Acting, Musical Theatre and public speaking with all of our classes leading towards taking an exam at the end of the course. LAMDA's Level 3 recognised qualifications are included in the current UCAS Tariff.

LAMDA exams are about achievement – recognising and rewarding the endeavors of each individual – but they are also about empowerment. The ultimate aim is to provide all people with the opportunity to develop the life skills they need to be a success: attributes such as self-confidence and the ability to communicate clearly and present ideas.

The current LAMDA exam fees can be found here

The Magical World of Roald Dahl

A masterclass for children in Reception to Year 6

Roald Dahl created some of literature’s most imaginative and memorable characters but how did he do it? How do you do it?

A young girl sits in the park with her favourite book “The Twits” but when she meets a friendly old man out for a hike the magic begins as the characters from all of her favourite Roald Dahl stories come to life before her very eyes. The Roald Dahl Masterclass opens with this short play performed by two professional actors and then moves into an interactive workshop designed to show the students how they can turn the mundane everyday into the magical and memorable, as the actors help each student transform into a character of their very own creation.
